Microsoft’s Your Phone is getting some significant updates in the recent days that may make you finally consider using the app on a daily basis. The app recently gained the ability to sync phone notifications and is working on a feature that allows you to make phone calls straight from your Windows PC. The Redmond giant is now adding a battery indicator so that you will be able to know when to charge your smartphone.

The feature is currently available for Windows Insiders inside the Your Phone app. A battery icon will show up in the top right corner of the sidebar indicating the juice left in your smartphone. The exact battery percentage can be known by hovering your mouse pointer over the icon or clicking on it.

Using ‘Your Phone’ requires you to install the app on your PC & smartphone and logging in with the same Microsoft account on both the devices. It is worth noting that your smartphone needs to be running Android 7.0 Nougat or above to run the app. Also, make sure that your Windows PC is running on Windows 10 April 2018 update (1803) or later. However, you will need the latest insider build of Windows 10 to get the battery indicator functional as of now.

The battery indicator will be making its way to the stable version of Windows 10 as soon as the feature matures enough to be used by a wider range of people. So, what do you think of this new battery indicator feature? Do you find the feature intuitive enough to tempt you to use Your Phone app? Let us know in the comments.
